Don't fucking fuck with fucking Superman
End battle from Superman vs The Elite. "The Elite" are a new vigilante group of super-powered weirdos who think they're good guys because they kill other bad guys. They try to convince Superman that killing is the right way. Things go badly. I know it's nerdy, fuck you.

This was intense as fuck the first time I watched it. But of course at the end, it's revealed he was in control the entire time, and the supervillains are all alive.Kinda ruined the whole god-like tornado of death thing

Interesting scene, but I disagree. I see Clark Kent as who he really is, how he really feels, while the Superman persona is an act that he puts on, Superman is the costume, an attempt at being a rolemodel, something to inspire, he doesn't care for being Superman and would gladly be Clark 24/7 if his conscience would let him. With Batman, Bruce Wayne is the persona, while Batman is who he truly is. When he is Bruce Wayne, its only to maintain his identity or go undercover. He would gladly be Batman 24/7 if he could, its all he thinks about.
Or something...

Not sure. Superman is who we call Kal-el. Kal-el is the Kryptonian alien with the funky powers. He may see something he wishes to emulate in humanity when he pretends to be Clark, but he is still pretending to be Clark as Clark is not Kal-el. Its like a parrot emulating human speak, it may even be trying to fit in as a member of the herd in which it finds itself, but it is still a parrot, for that is and always will be what it truly is.

I guess its true in the sense that being a kryptonian is who he is, even if he wants it or not, and he is emulating humanity, even though he can never be one. Like a cat that thinks he is a dog.So Superman is like....a Trans-Human. Fucking special snowflake... What bathroom does he even use? The disabled bathroom I guess, where all the mental cases should be.
I still say that the Clark Kent persona, the personality, is who he really wants to be, how he actually feels, the insecurity and gentleness, being subservient to Lois Lane like a beta, that's who he is in his soul.
Tigeriger
And thats how he views humanity, as said subservient beta. I like the idea of him shiting his unitard while staring confused at which toilet door to use, thats funny.
Barret
Was gonna say that he is like that because that's how he was raised, but you are right, that is how he views humanity. Can't it be both? Did you ever read Red Son? Where he crashlanded in Russia as a baby, I liked that one.
Tigeriger
Its on the list, not got to that one yet. Just finished killing joke, (for like the 10th time) will get to it though.

I recently read Injustice Gods Among Us, loved it, a fascinating look at what could happen if he lost his humanity. Supes is a scary fucker really... It didn't seem very realistic, but was a fun read.
