Yeah we did manage to recover most of the old content, but there's a gap of a few months where submissions are lost.
They can be restored though if the file is linked to me in some way. I'm slowly restoring things I find.

Geez I haven't played that since the first 3 seasons of the mode where you get random spells per level up. Fuck me those were the days.
Don't play WoW really at all anymore, been probably a good, well 7 years since I was getting heavily back into it. Nowadays Enlisted(War Thunder with infantry) has consumed all of my gaming time, as well as L4D2

Oh yeah the wildcard mode. Ive been playing a lot of freepick server in the last year, and wish i had more time to try the wildcard thing, it was a lot of fun when I tried it. Sadly Ascension is closing down in a few days after the blizz lawsuit. Really going to miss it.
Hopefully I never play another mmo again, lost way too much time to this shit. Good memories though.
Online games can be so much cancer, but so much fun as well.

Oh yo what the fuck they're shutting down? Jesus fuck it's literally Nostalrius all over again. Shit maybe Blizzard is actually going all in on the supposed Classic+ I keep seeing.

WoW was there for me during my expulsion from Freshman-Halfway through Sophomore year. Mainly PServers like RPHeaven, Dalaran-WoW, Anarchy-WoW(Back when it was 255 fun server, god remember those?), and a few others.
I Think i'll miss the retail Warlords of Draenor the most though. That xpac was the tits, and the PTR by the last patch had SO many fucking people and a HUGE RP scene rivaling that of Moonguard's sheer RP pop. Oh god to be 14 again.

Wrath was the god era for me, i quit official wow not soon after, so never got to try most of the expansions. That's almost 20 years ago already, crazy to think about.
I believe the main reason wow went after and sued these private servers (turtle wow too) is exactly because they're gonna release classic plus and they don't want the competition. A lot of the stuff they did on Ascension lately was better then what blizzard themselves seemingly can do these days.
Man I'm kind of butthurt I guess. Fuck blizzard.

I started playing WoW with my own characters around mid BC. My Dad really enjoyed Warcraft and had gotten into the WoW beta, so I always watched him play and would sometimes dick around on his characters. But it was Wrath where I made my first character that I actually stuck with. It was an Undead DK. God, I remember always starting and deleting new DK characters before my Undead DK just to play through the DK starting zone countless times. It was and still is one of the most nostalgic and awesome parts of pre WoD WoW I remember. I always liked going to Outland after the DK starting zone just to sit for hours watching the huge(at the time) battle on the steps of the Dark Portal. Oh to be 8/9 years old again.
