That line is arbitrary my friend. And IMHO transportation has a rather low barrier for entry... people will be able to improve and do better things than drive.

I suppose you believe assembly lines are evil because they switched from hands to machines?

hey @Dude, are you one of those universal basic income nerds?

Its an odd thing. Automation should in a utopia make our lives easier, maybe even cut down the working week hours to spend more time on hobbies, family, education, and cultural activities. Automation of industries may replace people meaning less money being spent in the economy. Think tanks offer the basic income as a short term solution to offset the economic impact of an increased dispossessed population. Interesting times ahead.

Universal income is an interesting idea, but there's just no way it would ever work if the money awarded has to be defined as livable. Petty cash maybe, to encourage people to pursue interests and self-improvement....
But that's a long way off. We'll be in post-poverty Star Trek world before it takes hold.

blacks like to sing and dance, while whites know how to tap into money. Hispanic people are gifted at family structure. You can see a Hispanic person and he can put 20 or 30 people in one home.
Asians know how to turn a television into a watch.
