    At first I thought he was one of those freaks that self identify as disabled or something, but turns out that he had suffered years of nerve pain in that hand, and this was the only way he figured he could fix it, as the doctors couldn't or wouldn't.

    I wonder if maybe the pain is really in his head, or if its like when you get phantom itches, even if you cut off a limb, the nerves further up your arm makes you feel like its still there. Basically I think this guy is fucked. I wonder how he's doing now 4 years later.
